It uses an authentic AustriAlpin Cobra buckle made from high-strength polymer, so it's noticeably lighter overall, and the smooth, quick action makes donning and doffing gear fast and hassle-free—especially when you're jumping in/out of the cruiser or transitioning quickly. You still get that reliable Cobra design: secure, double-sided release that won't pop under load, but without any metal in the buckle itself for a quieter, lighter setup.

Sizing Tip Look, don't trust your pant size, what you "feel" like, or what anyone else guesses. Seriously—grab a tape measure, run it through your pant belt loops (at the height you actually wear your belt), and get that real number. Use it straight-up on our sizing charts. This avoids the headache of returns and extra shipping. 

The buckle is ultra-lightweight polymer with a targeted load rating of 500 lb. It handles full gear loads just fine while weighing roughly half as much as a conventional metal Cobra buckle—no springs or hinges, just a solid, durable polymer system built for real carry.
